You need fireplace doors for your Marco fireplace in the winter but the fireplace doors save energy for you year round. Marco fireplace glass doors insulate the fireplace by providing a 'dead air' space between the closed damper and closed fireplace glass doors. After you are done enjoying the fire in the winter, close the fireplace doors and end the heat loss up the chimney. As long as it’s still burning, the fire will continue to radiate heat into the room. In the summer time, the same insulating effect keeps the hot air from outside trapped in the firebox.
Marco fireplace doors add beauty to your Marco Fireplace. They also provide added safety for your fireplace investment. Children and pets are drawn to a fire while it’s burning and the mess when the fire is out.
If you can hang a picture frame, you can put fireplace doors on your fireplace. The instructions are simple and the process can be done with an electric drill, drill bits, and a Phillips screwdriver.
Marco fireplaces come in a large variety of styles and Marco fireplace doors are available to fit the majority of them. The model numbers on the fireplace will show you which doors are needed for the simple installation. Look for the rating plate inside the fireplace. On that rating plate is your model number.
With every Marco fireplace door kit, you get a lifetime guarantee for the glass portion of the doors. Free glass tinting, free shipping, a full swing door upgrade and a no hassle satisfaction guarantee are also standard issue. You likely want the tinted glass for wood-burning fireplaces to hide the ashes and mess once the fire has gone out. The full swing door option requires less maintenance and the doors may be removed for easier cleaning. The most popular color for the Marco fireplace doors is black as most fireboxes are black. Most are also available in a polished brass finish as well as painted finishes.
If you already have a frame, only the replacement glass may be purchased. Tracks come with many fireplaces and provide a channel for the fireplace doors to slide into. Tracks must have a clip in the track to hold the glass doors in place. If you need to purchase a frame, several options are available for all Marco fireplaces. The Z Track on Z Track models has tracks for the top and bottom of the fireplace opening. The frame package also includes the glass. The basic model has a ¾ “frame. Another model has a larger 7/8” frame. The Heritage Steel Door is the top of the line and has a 1 ¾” steel frame. The no-tarnish frames never need polishing.
